COMPANY HISTORY

ENGINEERS AT HEART

Pure Theatre began in 2003 with a straightforward idea: that home cinema should be something you can live with as well as love. At the time, getting a projector into a room meant accepting the wires, the ceiling mounts, and the compromise. We thought there had to be a better way.

Our first product was a wall-mounted projector screen. Not long after, we developed what we believe was the world's first battery-powered motorised screen. That instinct to solve a real problem rather than copy what was already out there has shaped everything we've done since.

More than twenty years on, we design and manufacture projector lifts, screens and AV Rack shelves from our base in Telford. We sell across the UK, Europe and the US.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Our manufactured range has grown steadily, we are now providing screens lifts, shelves and beyond — each product born from a gap in the market or feedback from the people who actually install and use them.

We made the world's first battery-powered motorised screen in 2006, then expanded into ceiling-recessed screen designs in 2010.

2008 | Projector Lifts

Developed in 2008 this has become our signature product. The CR range now spans from the compact CR25 to the CR90 for large commercial projectors.

Adding to our range in 2014 was the addition of device-specific AV rack shelving designed around the equipment that actually goes in it.
