Home Cinema with a Fixed Frame Screen

There's something special about having a space that's dedicated to enjoying films, live sport and gaming. That's exactly what Zach, better known on Instagram as @zachs.space, set out to create.
Transforming a room that previously featured a television, Zach designed a dedicated home cinema centred around our 100" Acoustic Fixed Frame Screen. Paired with a BenQ TK705STi projector (sourced separately), the finished room is a fantastic example of how thoughtful design and carefully chosen equipment can create a truly immersive viewing experience.
To make the project even more memorable, the installation was completed just in time for the FIFA World Cup, giving Zach the perfect setup to enjoy England's matches on a huge 100-inch screen.

Challenges & Solutions
The room originally featured a television, but Zach and his partner wanted something that would deliver the feeling of a true home cinema. Replacing the TV with a 100-inch projector screen completely transformed the space, creating a far more immersive viewing experience while giving the room a clean, minimalist focal point. Combined with the BenQ TK705STi projector, the result is a bright, detailed image that's equally at home showing blockbuster films, gaming sessions or live football.
Rather than simply mounting a screen to the wall, Zach designed the entire front of the room around it. Acoustic wood slat panels were installed on either side of the screen, creating a striking symmetrical feature wall that naturally draws your attention towards the image. The combination of the warm timber finish and the slim black frame of the screen gives the room a premium, purpose-built feel. The addition of subtle ambient lighting behind the cabinetry and around the room adds depth and atmosphere, creating a cinema environment that's just as impressive before the projector is even switched on.
While Zach has currently opted for a KEF XIO soundbar, choosing an Acoustic Fixed Frame Screen means the room is already prepared for future upgrades. Unlike a standard projection screen, an acoustically transparent screen allows speakers to be positioned directly behind the image, just as they are in commercial cinemas. Should Zach decide to upgrade to a dedicated surround sound system in the future, the left, centre and right speakers can all be hidden behind the screen, creating an even cleaner installation and an even more immersive audio experience.
The soundbar offers an excellent solution today, while the acoustic screen provides the flexibility to take the room to the next level whenever the time is right.
"Incredible projector screen! I have had the 100” Acoustic Fixed Frame Screen for a while now and I am so happy with it. Highly recommend these guys, you will not be disappointed. 10/10 for me."
Outcome
The finished result is a beautifully designed dedicated home cinema that perfectly balances performance with interior design.
Every element works together to create an immersive entertainment space. The 100" Acoustic Fixed Frame Screen forms the centrepiece of the room, framed by the acoustic slat wall and enhanced by carefully placed ambient lighting. The clean cabinetry and projector setup complete a space that looks every bit as impressive as the experience it delivers.
Completing the room just in time for the World Cup meant England's matches could be enjoyed on a truly cinematic scale, but it's equally suited to movie nights, gaming and everyday entertainment.

For transparency, this projector screen was part of a collaboration deal with Zach. Zach independently sourced, designed and installed the remainder of the home cinema including the projector.
