Stunning Dedicated Home Cinema in Hampshire

After purchasing this property, the client embarked on a full renovation. As part of the transformation, they wanted to create a dedicated TV room/snug for the family to enjoy movies and music in a cozy yet high-performance environment.

To ensure they made the best choices, the client visited the Pure Theatre Demo Centre, where they had the opportunity to experience various home cinema setups. This visit proved invaluable, shaping their home cinema plans and dispelling a few common myths. After finalizing their vision, our home cinema specialists designed and specified the best equipment for the space.

As a dedicated cinema room, the goal was to deliver an immersive audiovisual experience while maintaining a stylish design. The client wanted the largest screen possible for their space and opted for a custom-sized acoustic projector screen, which allowed speakers to be positioned discreetly behind it. A Pure Theatre CR50 Projector Lift was installed in the ceiling, allowing the Epson EH-TW9400 projector to be completely concealed when not in use. The client also wanted to enhance the audio experience, opting for a 7.2.4 DALI surround sound system with in-wall and in-ceiling speakers to create a fully immersive soundstage. 

There were two main challenges on this project, firstly achieving the largest screen size possible for the room. As Pure Theatre manufacture products in house we are able to provide custom sizes if required and therefore were able to size the screen to maximise the viewable area.

Another consideration which is always a variable on a project like this is how to mount the projector itself. A drop ceiling was added to the room allowing the projector lift and ceiling speakers to be discreetly and easily installed. This solution was inspired by their visit to the Pure Theatre Demo Centre, where they saw how effective this type of installation could be.

The result is a stunning dedicated home cinema that provides the perfect escape for movie nights and music listening. Finished in a rich deep blue to enhance the cinematic feel, any remaining light is dispelled with some simple roman blinds, ensuring an optimal viewing experience. The client also wanted a comfortable and versatile seating arrangement, so they installed three dual-motor electric reclining cinema chairs for maximum comfort, complemented by yellow accent bean bag chairs for a more casual seating option.
